In einer Operation an Ihrer Wirbelsäule wurden zwei künstliche Bandscheiben eingesetzt.
Die Wirbelsäule ist aus einzelnen Wirbeln aufgebaut. Zwischen den Wirbeln liegen Bandscheiben. Bandscheiben bestehen aus Knorpel und Bindegewebe. Bandscheiben verbinden benachbarte Wirbel miteinander und polstern Druck und Stöße ab. Eine erkrankte Bandscheibe kann durch eine künstliche Bandscheibe ersetzt werden.
